Plane Crashes Into Gaithersburg, MD neighborhood!!!
The pilot of a small plane crash landed near the entrance to a couple of residential neighborhoods in Gaithersburg Sunday.
The pilot's orange and white parachute remains caught in the trees near Snouffer School Road.
The plane had left nearby Montgomery Airpark at approximately 1:45 p.m., but started to head back after the pilot ran into problems while traveling, a Montgomery County fire department spokesman said.
The plane crashed on Mallory Place, between the 8200 block of Snouffer School Road and Mountain Ash Way.
The pilot, who escaped the plane by parachute, has been taken to the hospital. There is no word on the extent of his possible injuries. He was the only person on the plane.
No one else was injured in the crash.

Part of Snouffer School Road has been closed to traffic while hazardous materials crews clean up a minor fuel spill, according to authorities.
Fire officials are still looking into the cause of the crash.
